Alpujarreña Strain originates in the mountains of Granada, Spain although its name is Andalucian. It has been refined over a long period of time and is well-acclimatised to local conditions where it grows very well up to an altitude of 1,000 meters (3,280 ft.). Alpujarreña, therefore, is capable of withstanding temperature and weather extremes and in low night temperatures, she can display purple tones in the foliage and buds although not all plants will.
Alpujarreña is a 90% indica strain with short flowering time and a short stature growing to a height of 40 – 100 cm. indoors or up to 200 cm. if planted outdoors directly in the ground. If cultivated indoors grower can expect to harvest between 550 – 600 gr/m2 in just 49 – 56 days of flowering under 600-watt lights. Outdoors harvest will be in early September in northern latitudes yielding between 300 – 1000 gr/plant.
In spite of its hardiness and early maturation, THC production is still a very creditable 17.5% along with CBD of 1%. The palate of this strain is very pleasant and the effect is nicely relaxing. Good to enjoy after a day’s work to melt away any aches and pains and forget your troubles.
